The second bathroom is located between the second and third bedrooms. We have a fully stocked kitchen waiting for you. If cooking isn't your favorite activity on vacation, no problem! We have many good restaurants nearby open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you will be boating, the public ramp is located across the street. We also have a public beach that our kids love to explore and swim. Carefully restored over 18 months, "The Cottage" is reminiscent of turn of the century agricultural structures originally found throughout the South. Located in Mineola Texas, the cottage sits on a beautiful 58 acres with fishing ponds, woods and meadows, is very comfortable and unique containing period correct artifacts, furniture and art. From the massive oak framing, to the tongue and groove walls, beadboard ceilings and variety of pine hardwood flooring, this structure was built to stand the test of time. The builder and former owner was one of the first individuals to ever sketch and document the plant and animal life as well as the topographical features in this part of East Texas and at a time when the area was growing and changing rapidly. A naturalist and rancher, this 58 acre retreat was his "Walden". Homestead Cottage housed his woodworking shop and the upstairs loft was his study where he filed his naturalist diaries and records going back to the 30's. He also was the original recycler and would store items collected from decades of salvaging and recylcling in the many outbuildings of the Homestead. The renovation attempted to use as many of these materials as possible to retain the character of the structure and continue to reflect the spirit of the original builder. The Cabin at Creek Bend Farm is a secluded 1-bedroom, 1-bath, fully furnished 525 sq ft house, and is situated in the middle of 50 wooded acres. The cabin overlooks a fishing pond and there are many walking/biking trails surrounding the cabin. Access to the cabin, and the owner's house, is secured with a privacy gate. Guests drive past the owner's house, on their way to the cabin, but the two are separated by woods keeping the cabin private. Boat parking can be accommodated at the cabin location, to keep them safe, and the 50 wooded acres are reserved for guest use. The cabin was built in 2013 and is located 5 miles outside historic Mineola and is perfect for a week, a couple of nights, or a weekend getaway. The cabin is the only dwelling on the 50 acres. The Walker Family lake house is a beautiful two story brick lakefront property located on the shores of world renowned Lake Fork. The surroundings are very private and quiet. The house comes fully furnished with all the amenities anyone would need for a weekend stay or a weeklong vacation. There is plenty of outdoor space and a great view of the lake. In fact, the sunsets are many times breathtaking! The boat dock has been updated and is equipped with a boat lift and a large sitting area to enjoy the sunsets. Electricity of course is available for charging your boat batteries after a long day of fishing. Many times the deer make a showing at the feeder and a lot of other wildlife show up as well. We have some resident wild ducks who make a morning showing at the deer feeder nearly every morning. They are fun to watch & it is definitely relaxing to say the least. There are also a lot of restaurants available nearby as well if you choose to dine out. Also if you are a First Monday fan, Canton Texas is located about 45 minutes from the lake house. A lot of families come on First Monday weekend and the guys go fishing while the ladies go shopping! No kidding...Your gonna love the Walker Family Lake house. I know we sure do!

Our Bunk House is located next to our main house in Paradise Cove on Lake Quitman. It is perfect for couples, solo travelers, or fishermen. While it is set up more like a hotel with a mini-frig, coffee maker & a motel hvac unit (heats & cools), but unlike a hotel you have use of our amazing dock for relaxing or fishing! We completely remodeled it with new flooring, large bathroom with custom vanity and vessel sink. Queen bed & metal bunk beds will hold most adults. There is electricity on the porch if you wish to bring your portable grill and plenty of parking for your boat! Upon booking I can send recommendations for fishing guides on Lake Fork, and places nearby to assist you during your stay.
